I was grumbling all the way when i walked to the nearby vegetable shop. My mom never asks me to go, buy vegetables or groceries as appa takes care of all those. Granny was visiting suddenly, so mom wanted to make hot rotis with veg masala, and as appa had gone out visiting my athai, i had to go. I as busy chatting with my age old friend in Facebook and had to say tata to her, much against my wish. so came the grumbles.
It was when i turned to the main road off our street, that i started noticing the surroundings. It was two in the noon, pretty hot and the roads deserted. I slowly walked to the vegetable shop just two steps ahead. I got the potatoes and green peas mom had asked for and started towards my home. After a minute or two, i had a strange feeling of being noticed that i turned back to see if someone was following me. My hunch was right. A guy of my age, a tall one in clean jeans and a white t shirt adding to his already fair complexion was right behind me with his eyes on me straight. I was a bit surprised that he didn’t even move his eyes off me though I was staring at him. I chose to ignore him and continued walking. But I kept my ears open and the sound of slow rhythamic foot steps kept coming behind me until I reached home. When I turned towards him while closing the gate, he kept walking straight, but his eyes on me. I turned away and moved on. I thought he must be a rogue or a moron to behave so indecent. But my mind reminded me of his dresses and his looks. He definitely was looking like a super model, as Bella of twilight would think of Edward. I laughed a bit on my comparison. I told myself to forget him and continue with my FBing and studying after that.
I was shocked when I saw him again the next day in palavanthangal station. He was sititng in the seats where the ladies compartment of the 12 car train would stop, just exactly where I board my train daily on the way to office. As yesterday, he was staring at me, no no, not staring, looking at me as if he would swallow me the very moment. Oops! Again I was talking like how stephenie described Edward. “Sara! Hold yourself. Maybe he resides in nanganallur too. Maybe you met him accidentally. But why would he stare at you like that? Ignore him, ignore him!”. I got into the train and relaxed a bit as I escaped from his gaze. When I got down at guindy, I was shocked again to notice him getting down from the first class compartment adjacent to the ladies compartment. Oh goodness! I realised that he had all along been noticing me from the adjacent compartment. I was confused if I should lead him right to my office now and give him a chance to visit my office often or move around here and there, lose him and escape. When I waited a bit deciding, I let my eyes around to spot him in the crowded station. I was relieved when I could not spot him. I continued to my office happily.
My day went on very busy and I was relaxing myself listening to my favorite songs on the way to home. When I got down from the train in my station, a long hand grabbed me and took me near the seats. I gasped in fear, while the same hand covered my mouth, while a sweet voice said, “Cool! Don’t be afraid. I just wanted to talk to you.”.
I slowly raised my eyes to see his blue shirt neatly tugged in and his fair face. It was him! Oh god! My eyes widened in shock and fear. My fear increased when I started feeling his cold hand on me. I looked down to see his hands which were extraordinarily cold, while my mind quickly collabarated this with Edward’s hands again. I shook my crazy thoughts while I quickly realised my position in front of him. I straightened and looked him directly on his face. “Mr. What do you think you are doing? Is this the way to talk to unknown girls? By the way, why would you want to talk to me?”
I was surprised that I did not faint on looking at his charming smile he gave me in turn. Such an angel face. Oh my! Am I getting an edward in my real life?
